Reading PDFs with Apple Intelligence

Turn statements, invoices and dividend notices into transactions.

File ▸ Smart Import PDFs… (⇧⌘I) reads bank statements, dividend statements and invoices on this device and turns them into transactions for you to review. Nothing is sent anywhere.

What it does

  • Reads the rows out of the document, including scanned pages.
  • Matches each one to a transaction already in your book, in any account.
  • Links the PDF to that transaction, and suggests a category.

Match Attachments… (⇧⌘M) does the same for receipts you already have: pick the files, and each is paired with its transaction and filed.
