Finding transactions
Search operators, saved searches, and jumping around.
The search box above the register searches the description, amount and date. It also understands operators, which can be combined:
tag:holiday | Transactions carrying a tag. |

account:Groceries | Postings to a matching account (category: also works). |
memo:refund | Text in the split memo. |
desc:coles | Text in the description. |
amount:>200 | Amounts above (or < below) a figure. |
from:-3m | On or after a date — or today, -7d, -2w, -3m, -1y. |
to:2026/06/30 | On or before a date. |
type:transfer | A kind of transaction. |
has:attachment | Only transactions with a document attached. |
Put - in front of any term to exclude it — -tag:work hides work spending.
Elsewhere
- Find… (⌘F) searches across every account, not just the open one.
- Find Account… (⌘I) jumps straight to an account by name.
- Save a search you keep repeating, and it comes back in the search menu.
