Receipts and documents

Any transaction can have documents attached — a receipt, an invoice, a dividend statement. The Attachments panel beside the register shows the selected transaction's file.

Where files live

Set a document folder in Settings ▸ Documents. Files inside it are linked relatively, the same way GnuCash does it, so the book and its documents can move together — onto a NAS, or to a new Mac — without breaking.

• Link File… points at a file where it already is.
• Add Web Link… stores a URL instead of a file.
• Remove Link unlinks only — your file is never deleted.
