The dashboard

The dashboard is the book at a glance — net worth and its twelve-month trend, anything the alerts have flagged, your account balances, bills coming up, and how the budget is tracking. A new book opens here; a book you have used before opens where you left off.

It is a board rather than a page: it never scrolls. Cards are packed into the window you actually have, and any that will not fit are left out rather than pushed below the fold — so a wider window shows more of them. Resize it and the board re-packs itself.

Choosing what appears

Not every card suits every book. Customise, in the dashboard’s toolbar, turns cards off one by one, and the rest close the gap. A card with nothing to report — no bills due, no goals set — gives up its place rather than showing you an empty box.
